The Riksbank's visionary project to investigate a digital central bank currency, e-krona, is the first of it’s kind in the world. Last week, the first interim report of the project and Deputy Governor Cecilia Skingsley hosted Bankgirot in a breakfast seminar on the theme.

The seminar offered an opportunity for reflection and dialogue on both macro and microeconomic conditions, financial stability and consequences in the payment market, with the possible establishment of e-krona.
The dialogue on the e-crown infrastructure and services is at the heart of Bankgirot's business. We are looking forward to the continued dialogue that the Riksbank is starting now, says Jeanette Jäger, CEO, Bankgirot.
